Harry Wismer was the owner of a team that seemed to always be one step ahead of the creditors, and never seemed to be able to draw much in the way of crowds - his attendance was often measured in empty seats.

But, from humble beginnings and from what seemed to be certain failure, came a franchise that was became of the most successful with full houses watching great and winning football.
