I was saddened to hear of the passing of one of the Canadian Football League's great players last week, and thought it fitting to pay tribute to this once, great yet humble man. Earl Lunsford played for a number of CFL teams, and following his retirement as a player, became a member of the management staff of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Earl was nicknamed "Earthquake" due to his style of play, and was the first CFL player to rush for over one mile in total yardage.

I am giving away far too much, so I would encourage you to have a listen.

And, don't forget to tune into the weekly podcast from www.donspodradio.com, where I reside on the 20's with my RETROSPECTIVE commentaries, weekly.

Rest In Peace, Earl.
