Here is my RETROSPECTIVE commentary for January 16, 2008 - heard on the "20's`on the weekly podcast from www.donspodradio.com and www.donspodradio.podomatic.com.
The story of Nellie McClung is one that deserves telling - Nellie was a driving force in the evolution of the women`s movement in Canada and across North America. Her willingness to cross stereotypical boundaries of male and female activities raised many an eyebrow, but she persisted in driving home her position that women should be on an equal footing with their male counterparts in all things.
Some of her antics were downright hilarious, all intended to drive home her point regarding the role of women in the society of the time, and moving forward. I know you will enjoy this presentation.
Today, January 16, there was a problem with the main site at www.donspodradio.com and Don is working to resolve it, so please be patient. The home page looks rather strange, and in fact an electronic glitch has caused long deleted files to reappear and take over the page. The carrier is aware of the problem and is working to rectify the situation.
Meanwhile, enjoy this Retrspective look back, and listen to the weekly podcast, either here on the Podomatic site, or over at the DonsPodRadio site - there is a player there that will play the most current podcast.
Enjoy!
